ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Project Manager you will be tasked with many challenging opportunities that will contribute to the overall growth of the business. As a member of the US Construction Department reporting to the US Construction Manager, you will participate in the Development and Implementation of Strategic Capital Projects, related to Process Improvements, Product Development or Capacity Expansion. The level of Involvement in a particular project may vary, but generally this person is expected to provide a high degree of leadership and motivation to facilitate fulfillment of project objectives, potentially from inception through implementation and to completion. This individual must be capable of multi-tasking and should be capable of working independently on small to medium capital projects, or possibly multiple small projects with overlapping schedules. The ideal candidate will possess capability, or at least potential, to manage large capital projects.
Responsibilities:

Champion the Development of Capital Project Proposals;
*
Overall Project Management of Approved Capital Projects
*
Learn the basics of our fiber cement manufacturing processes and stay current with new developments.
Qualifications:
*
Knowledge of Mechanical Building Codes and OSHA standards (preferred).
*
Knowledge of Equipment and Machine Design Standards and Specifications including AWS, ANSI, ASTM (preferred).
*
Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of personal computers including word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word and Excel, Project, Power Point, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
*
Developed a familiarity with and ability to work in Autocad drawing software including the ability to view and print drawings and make changes. Advanced drawing skills are preferred.
*
Well organized, with the ability to multi-task.
*
Must be able to lead and be a part of cross functional teams.
Education/Experience:
*
BS Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering (Preferred) or Equivalent Experience including 10 or more years of experience in an applicable, industrial manufacturing environment.
Work Experience :
- Experience in managing medium to large Capital Projects
- Experience in large-scale construction
- Experience in product or process development where there was participation in the project development process.
- Direct interaction with customers, end-users
- Involvement in a manufacturing process, with responsibility to coordinate and collaborate with people at all levels in the operation
- Experience in process and/or machinery design
